This page points to the latest editions of the GameBus terms and conditions as well as to the general GameBus privacy statement. Furthermore, it lists some important considerations for external researchers/research institutions that independently want to use the GameBus platform for their own research.

GameBus General Information

Use of GameBus by external researchers / research institutions

GameBus can be used by anyone, and thus also by external (non-TU/e) researchers/research institutions for their own, individual purposes. When they do so, they do so at their own responsibility and at their own risk. Therefore, there are a number of issues to consider:

• The external researcher/research institution is responsible for informing data subjects in advance about the processing of his/her personal data;
• The external researcher/research institution is responsible for having an appropriate legal basis for the processing of personal data (as mentioned in article 6 GDPR), and, if needed, a valid exception to the prohibition for processing special categories of personal data (article 9 GDPR);
• All data gathered as part of a research by external researchers/research institutions may be used by TU/e in the future for the purpose of scientific research regarding social gamification and its potential for promoting a healthy lifestyle, as described in the privacy statement.
